Knowledge sharing at UNESCO NEQMAP’s annual meeting

Earlier in 2017, T&LEMU announced its acceptance as an institutional member of the Network on Education Quality Monitoring in the Asia-Pacific (NEQMAP). Joining the Network allows T&LEMU to learn about activities and services in the Asia-Pacific for improving the quality of learning, and how other member institutions use student learning assessment to strengthen education systems. The NEQMAP annual meeting is a key component for promoting knowledge sharing among member institutions in the Asia-Pacific.

T&LEMU Director Dr. Maggie Zhao attended NEQMAP’s 5th Steering Group and Annual Meeting on 12-13 December, 2017 in Bangkok, Thailand. Dr. Zhao joined more than 50 delegates from 23 countries in discussing the Network’s capacity development and recent activities, learning about global and regional initiatives related to monitoring education quality, and conducting networking.

Panel discussions also provided an opportunity to learn more about important topics such as using data for quality assurance and decision making, assessment of 21st century skills, and regional initiatives in support of Sustainable Development Goal 4 to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning.
