Presenting at the International Conference on Learning and Teaching 2021

At the International Conference on Learning and Teaching 2021 (ICLT 2021) on December 9, Ms. Yvonne Chan and Dr. Jenny Huen delivered a presentation entitled Undergraduate Students’ Experience of Online Learning during COVID-19: Findings from Quantitative and Qualitative Analyses. Ms. Yvonne Chan presented the background of teaching and learning under the COVID-19 pandemic and the methodology for this research. Dr. Jenny Huen discussed the findings based on the students’ quantitative and qualitative responses. Through advanced statistical analysis, she demonstrated the importance of students’ perceptions of online learning their overall learning experience and elaborated the findings with reference to students’ open-end comments regarding the challenges and positive aspects of online learning. The presentation highlighted the importance of understanding students’ perceptions of online learning during the switch to online learning and teaching under COVID-19. In the Q&A session, the audiences actively asked questions to find out more about evaluation and measurement of e-learning with presenters.

The ICLT 2021 was organized by The Education University of Hong Kong. The theme for this conference was Learning and Teaching for Future Readiness. It provided educational researchers, practitioners, and other professionals with a platform for presenting innovative approaches to learning and teaching and exchanging good practices.
